Minimalist Nutrition

Nutrition is one of the most complex, complicated and confusing subjects in the world of health and fitness.

Conflicting information comes out by the hour...

...fads come, go, then come back again ad infinitum.

It's exhausting to keep up with.

As a Minimalist Athlete, we don't try to keep up with it.

We keep things simple.

We stick to the tried and true, high return principles of a healthy diet.

  • Only eat whole foods, in their natural form
  • Meat, eggs and fish should be the main source of your calories
  • Fresh fruits and green, leafy vegetables to round out your meals

    Throw in some nuts and seeds if you want

    Never drink calories - water, coffee and tea only

    Eat when you're hungry, don't eat when you're not

    Occasionally go without food for an extended period of time - 16-24 hours

That's all there is to it.

There's no need to be any more complicated than that.

You don't need variety, 1000 different recipes or "cheat meal" guidelines.

All that does is complicate things, ensuring your failure.

Limit your choices and develop the discipline to stick to it .

Fuel your body with meat, vegetables and water and watch it thrive.
