Do Hard Stuff
Life is all about stress and adaptation.
You get exposed to a stressor, your body adapts and becomes stronger.
Lift weights and your body adapts by building muscle.
Restrict your calories and your body adapts by using body fat for fuel.
Go outside in the sun and your skin gets tan.
Most people try to avoid the stress part.
They want the adaptation without the work.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that.
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
You have to do the hard stuff, the stress, to get the positive adaptation.
You're tired from a long day at work? Get the kettlebells out and get to work.
You don't have time to do your joint mobility work? Get up at 4:30am and get it done.
You can't find time for cardio? Ride your bike to work.
Turn off the TV and get to bed earlier.
Take a freezing cold shower.
Train outside in the elements.
Do the hard stuff.
Develop the discipline.
And watch your body and mind get stronger.
